KHOR AL ZUBAIR is a city in Basrah, IRAQ, once of the major industrial areas as well as to contain the Khor Al Zubair Port on a set of laboratories and companies (such as petrochemical, fertilizer plant, iron and steel plant, liquid and gas).

STARLIGHT MARITIME facility at Khor Al Zubair is strategically located inside Basra’s Khor Al Zubair Freezone.
Khor Al Zubair Freezone is adjacent to the port of the same name – has attracted significant investment since its establishment in 2004. Khor Al Zubair Freezone is spread into a one million sqm zone. It incudes the Basrah International Oil and Gas Hub, which was set up in 2009 and uses the port for Gulf access.
STARLIGHT MARITIME KHOR AL ZUBAIR FACILITY is composed of two closed area adjacent to each other, with an area of 14,500sqm and 15,000sqm securely fenced inside Khor Al Zubair Freezone.
This area is being use to cater the needs of our esteemed clients in oil and gas business to store their out of gauge equipment, rigs and machineries.
Both Starlight Maritime Khor Al Zubair facilities are equipped with covered warehouses for safety and shaded storage. Covered Area is 3900sqm each big enough to handle even out of gauge items.
The PORT
Starlight Maritime Khor Al Zubair Facility inside Basrah Khor Al Zubair Freezone is adjacent to the Khor Al Zubair Port. This port is located further inland and has much less congestion than the busy port of Umm Qasr. It is located 12 nautical miles of Umm Qasr and 15 nautical miles south of Basrah. The port has road links NW to Basrah and across to the Kuwait border, in addition to a main line rail link NW to Basrah apart from link to Umm Qasr port.
The port handles general break and break bulk cargoes, it also have oil berths to handle tankers carrying refined petroleum products into IRAQ.
